Obama, who plans to return to Indonesia in 2011 for a summit of Asia, also planned to discuss plans for the visit of President Yudhoyono to the United States.

United States only exported goods worth 6 billion U.S. dollars to Indonesia every year, making it the 37th largest market for American, according to information from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

First Lady Michelle Obama, who accompanied Obama to India, also joined the visit to Indonesia before returning to the United States.

Obama still received strong support in Indonesia, although confidence in him has declined in other Muslim countries since he made a speech in Cairo, Egypt, June 2009. A long war the U.S. waged in Muslim countries - Afghanistan and Iraq - have already made him losing support among Muslims, and there was no progress in peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians, which also undermined support for him.
